The Fairmont Hotel was designed by OMNIPLAN originally for a client whose idea was to make one tower a hotel and the other an apartment building. When the project was bought by Fairmont, the apartment tower was converted to a hotel, two ballrooms were added and one expanded. Tied together at a landscaped terrace level, the two towers face each other across a courtyard.
