Rebeca Rios
Associate | DesignerWhen it comes to architecture and design, Rebeca has a passion for capturing the spirit of the space in the sense that it will contribute back to the community in a positive form. She is inspired by research as well as the existing conditions that surround the space in the form of culture and experience.
Rebeca grew up in a household that was always on the lookout to help one another. Those actions and mentality have carried through in her design approach. Rebeca has always enjoyed creating. That joy of creating and helping others have contributed towards her passion for community design in allowing for design to be a mechanism that impacts and enhances the quality of life within communities. She has been involved with Community Design Fort Worth in conducting community meetings in the Poly Heights neighborhood to hear one on one what they believe their neighborhood needs improvement on. With the studies and research, a master plan was created that would address the underlying issues and anticipates any challenges. She was also involved in designing a community for Senior Living in Kennedale consisting of 6 tiny houses with outdoor spaces. The senior living community addresses issues based on the mobility and accessibility of aging in place challenges.
Rebeca was born and raised in Dallas and continued her college education within the metroplex at the University of Texas at Arlington. Going to school not far from home allowed her to learn about the city she grew up in from an outsider’s perspective and got to learn about the cool architecture and unique places Dallas offers. Now in my free time, she enjoys finding hidden gems in the city and rediscovering places that she forgot existed! She enjoys being out in nature and going on hikes but also doesn't mind staying in and cuddling with her beloved cat.
