Senior Associate | Design Leader
Jae Lee is a licensed architect and senior designer with various experience across a wide range of building types in both the United State and internationally. He is originally from Seoul, South Korea, where he studied architecture at Hong-IK University. Soon after college graduation, Jae moved to Texas to study further and obtained his Master of Architecture degree at The University of Texas at Austin in 2004. Prior to joining Omniplan, he led a design team in NBBJ's New York studio for commercial and mixed-use projects with inventive and thoughtful design solutions. Jae Lee approaches projects from a unique perspective to find innovative solutions with in-depth knowledge of building systems. For each design, he focuses on integrating spaces, nature, and human experience to create a unified and harmonious architectural response. He believes each project should provide a unique and memorable experience throughout the space. His emphasis on human experience is about designing for everyday human life. Jae is also an enthusiastic sketcher who enjoys sketching throughout the design process to brainstorm ideas and visualize experience in the space. He lives in Prosper with his wife and two kids who love to draw and build (surprise!), and spends his free time hiking, biking, and planning for the next travel adventure with his family.
