After the success of Watermark Community Church's first clinic in Dallas, Texas, the church saw the need for a second one in Plano, Texas. Each of these clinics serves the uninsured population of Plano and Dallas cities. All services are free of charge.

Watermark Church funded the construction and basic operation of the clinic, supporting their respective outreach missions.OMNIPLAN donated architectural services as well as solicited material donations on behalf of the client including flooring, solid surface, ceiling vinyl tile, laminate, and textiles, and lighting. Open since May of 2018, the clinic’s patient count is trending upwards.

Considering that underserved populations typically have less familiarity with healthcare environments and can be intimidated by institutional spaces, the design approach intended to make the clinic warm, inviting and welcoming. This is reflected not only in the choice of finish materials but also in the organization of the program, from the reception area, through triage, and on to exam rooms.
