Fatima
Pacheco
Associate AIA
Architectural Designer
Fatima was born and raised in Paraguay however her entire family is from Brazil which makes it really hard to answer the question: "Where are you from?" She decided she wanted to study architecture when she was a kid after seeing her godmother's work as an interior designer. She moved to the US in 2011 and graduated from the University of Kansas with a Master in Architecture, go Jayhawks!
She is passionate about architecture's ability to change and enhance people's lives. She also loves the fact that architecture and design is everywhere but people don't really notice it - unless it's really bad. Her goal for every project is to create fantastic designs and awesome spaces that will both enhance the urban context and create meaningful spaces for people to inhabit.
She is interested in Public Interest Design and believes that design should be human-centered and socially responsible. She enjoys traveling and people watching and believes you can really get a sense of the culture just by observing the locals. In her free time, she likes to watercolor, make pasta for family and friends, and go to museums and parks with her husband, Cody.
