UT Dallas Jindal School of Management Richardson, Texas
Although UTD budgeted for a new 180,000sf School of Management, the school administrators predicted that they would need a larger facility. Thanks to OMNIPLAN’s insight about the changing construction market, our architects recommended a cost-saving strategy that facilitated a much larger structure on the same budget.
Today, UTD’s 204,000 SF School of Management is a gateway to the campus—featuring state-of-the-art classrooms and an executive education center. Additionally, the building is outfitted with wireless communication links, which furthers the convenience it offers to students and faculty for accessing resources online. Among the facility’s most distinctive architectural elements are a cylindrical atrium, and also the dining area with a circular skylight that uses reflective light to subtly and elegantly brighten the center of this space.
