Sketch Series; Jubilee Church

This sketch was not traced, but it was drawn while looking at a photo of the Richard Meier-designed building (Jubilee Church).  It was simply a compelling design, and it seemed like a fun building to draw.

Curves are always guesswork, but in this case, they were done by focusing on the endpoints, not where the pen tip was.  By focusing on the end, the mind and hand naturally connect the beginning and end of the line.  It isn’t foolproof but tends to be effective when one needs lines to “hit” certain points.

The pen used was a Pentel Sign Pen.
