Chandler Fashion Center
Chandler Fashion Center in Chandler, Arizona opened in October of 2001 with record attendance. The new 1.3 million square foot mall represents a strong new direction in retail design, combining a mega-regional indoor mall with a unique and intimate outdoor retail and entertainment village. Chandler Fashion Center is the centerpiece of a 320-acre urban village that will incorporate office parks, a hotel, a conference center and additional retail developments. The most expressive architectural materials in the project include native stone, standing seam metal roofs, copper and wood, which recall the indigenous agricultural architecture of Chandler's past. At the same time, they are reinterpreted in a design that is very contemporary in character, reflecting Chandler's strong progressive position in today's high tech industry.
