Alcon Laboratories Building F

The William C. Connor Research and Development Center houses the company's main research and development functions. It is a large, three-story facility that anchors the northwest corner of Alcon's 100-acre corporate campus. The facility is subdivided into sections designated as Building A, Building B, Building C, etc. Building F is the most recent addition to the facility, completed in October 1998. Building F is a 128,000 sf, three-story addition to the Center (two floors and a basement) designed to house biomedical research laboratories, associated offices, and a large, state-of-the-art stability storage area. Some of the labs are designed as BL3, sterile facilities. The building is organized around Alcon's laboratory module and central utility corridor concept. Even the office portions of the building are organized around this module to facilitate future conversion to laboratories.
